Greetings my friends!

Greetings to all who have discovered my little blog on the Internet.
My name is Ari Srabstein. I am an aspiring filmmaker, actor, and musician. I am 18 years old and I am about to go into my senior year of online high school.

I am currently working on my first film. It will be an animated musical short adaptation of the classic Grimm's fairytale Hansel and Gretel. It is going to be a much darker and surreal rendition that most people are not used to. I'm hoping to have it finished by the start of august.
I currently working on character designs and storyboards. I have an idea of how Hansel and Gretel's house will look like as well the design of Hansel's head.

I also created a petition to get a release for Tim Burton's Hansel and Gretel film.  For those who don't know about Tim Burton's movie, It was a 35 minute short that aired on the Disney Channel in the early 80's on Halloween. It was never aired again nor was it ever released to any physical medium. It can't even be found in any archives. For a long time it was thought to be lost, however it was eventually rediscovered and was shown at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. It was shown at 2 later exhibits, one being in Los Angeles and the other in Paris. I was at the exhibition in New York and I actually saw it playing, but for whatever reason I did not watch it. It was one of the many things I  missed at the exhibition (along with the Large Marge eyeballs and concept art).

Hopefully the petition will get at the most 1,000 signatures and it will persuade the Tim Burton and the owners of the film to get it released either on DVD, The Internet, or put into an archive such as the Library of Congress.

I will keep you all informed about my music and film related projects!
